Shop Local at Purrs in the City Art, Craft & Vintage Fair Nov. 4

This year’s Purrs in the City will be held Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church which is located at 222 Walnut Street in downtown Jeffersonville.

Admission is free and with 30+ booths, there is surely something for everyone. Be watching for the list of artists and crafters.

Be watching APA’s Purrs in the City Facebook page for a full list of the artists and crafters. We couldn’t do this event without all these fabulous cat-loving vendors so a big Paws in the Air to them! Some of them are even donating a portion of their proceeds back to APA.

November’s chilly weather makes it a perfect time for hot soups and chili. Purrs in the City will be a great place to warm up with things like:

  • Beef chili
  • Chicken tortilla soup
  • Vegan chili
  • Beef stew
  • Chicken and dumplings
  • Biscuits and gravy
  • Vegetarian chili
  • Broccoli cheese soup
  • Vegetable soup

The APA elves will also be busy in the kitchen making sweet treats including:

  • Pumpkin bread
  • Banana bread
  • Carrot cake
  • Pumpkin spice cake
  • Pumpkin roll

100% of the proceeds from this event will go to APA, so we can continue to rescue and find homes for the forgotten cats and kittens in the Southern Indiana and Louisville area. Unlike other area animal shelters, APA is totally staffed by volunteers and exists solely on donations and fundraisers like Purrs in the City Art & Craft Fair.

“This event is so important to APA to help us raise much needed funds. Each year we take in more than 200 kittens. The average cost to get a kitten ready for adoption is $180 and our adoption fee is only $80. Proceeds from this event will help us continue to take care of the forgotten cats and kittens in our area,” said Christina Mattingly, coordinator of Purrs in the City.
